CPR Pro for the Professional RescuerFor the purpose of this program ,the term ‘BLS’ means recognition of signs of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), heart attack, stroke, and foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED).3 This program is intended for healthcare providers, first responders, and professional rescuers in and outside the hospital or for those needing professional level basic life support training as a job requirement. American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) certification may only be issued when an ASHI authorized Instructor verifies you have successfully completed and competently performed the required core knowledge and skill objectives of the program.CPR-AED for the Community and WorkplaceProvides individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency. For the purpose of this program, the term ‘BLS’ means recognition of signs of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), heart attack, stroke, and foreign body obstruction (FBAO), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED). This program is intended for community members and people who do not work in the healthcare field but are required or just desire to have AED knowledge and skills. This includes emergency response teams in business, industry, and government, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents, babysitters and others. American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) certification may only be issued when an ASHI-authorized Instructor verifies you have successfully completed and competently performed the required core knowledge and skill objectives of the program.Basic First AidProgram participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies like bleeding, shock, burns, strains, fractures, allergic reaction, diabetic and seizures is shared. For the purpose of this program, basic first aid is defined as assessments and interventions that can be performed by a bystander (or by the victim) with minimal or no medical equipment. A first aid provider is defined as someone with formal training in first aid. This program is intended for individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults, children or both, including emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters. American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) certification may only be issued when an ASHI-authorized Instructor verifies you have successfully completed and competently performed the required core knowledge and skill objectives of the program. Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage.Emergency Oxygen AdministrationA critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.ASHI Essentials ProgramDesigned to arm laypersons with the minimum knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency care for injury or sudden illness during the brief interval between incident and EMS arrival.
